HEALTH4EUkids: Each stakeholder who makes up a neighborhood, an environment, where they carry out community action is important. The educational community is one of them with whom we have begun to converse about life environments with the help of the ‘ Living Healthy’ tool. This is an adaptation of the Place Standard tool created by NHSHealth Scotland, the Scottish Government and Architecture & Design Scotland. This resource was previously adapted by the General Directorate of Public Health, Generalitat Valenciana (DGSP-GVA). Our technical team had discussion and debates with teachers from the La Coma( Valencia-Spain) neighborhood over 14 dimensions that affect the obesogenic environments that families in that peripheral neighborhood of Paterna live, in which we are working in a participatory manner.

The “HEALTH4EUkids” Joint Action aims to implement health promotion and prevention strategies for child obesity across European countries. It seeks to share best practices and research findings, particularly focusing on the initiatives Grunau Moves from Germany and Smart Family from Finland. The project involves knowledge transfer, cooperation between member states, policy development, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles in families and communities. Its goal is to prevent childhood obesity, increase physical activity and healthy diet, and ensure the sustainability and transferability of successful practices to other member states.
This project has received funding from the European Union’s EU4HEALTH Programme under the Grant Agreement no 101082462
