First In-Person Training for Community Nurses – Developing Skills to Build Relationships with Families and Focus on Strengths
slv3

As part of our ongoing efforts to promote healthy family lifestyles, we are excited to announce the launch of a series of Smart Family articles on the Slovene national webpage for parents, ZDAJ.net. These articles, carefully selected and translated, aim to provide parents with practical advice and insights on strengthening family bonds, enhancing everyday joy, and addressing common lifestyle challenges.

In total, we have curated 40 Smart Family articles covering a range of topics. A special focus has been placed on family life, helping parents build deeper connections with their children and fostering happiness in their daily interactions. Additionally, this series includes the Family Wellness Path—a comprehensive resource designed to assist families in addressing challenges related to eating, physical activity, sleep, screen time, and weight management.

The Family Wellness Path offers not only useful information but also reflective questions to help families better understand their current habits. The path includes a range of Smart Family tools that families can use independently to work toward healthier lifestyle choices.

We began posting these articles in July 2024 and will continue to share one article per week until May 2025. Through this initiative, we aim to make Smart Family resources easily accessible to parents across Slovenia, empowering them to create healthier, happier family environments.

Health4EUKids -Your kid's health our priority! The “HEALTH4EUkids” Joint Action aims to implement health promotion and prevention strategies for child obesity across European countries. It seeks to share best practices and research findings, particularly focusing on the initiatives Grunau Moves from Germany and Smart Family from Finland. The project involves knowledge transfer, cooperation between member states, policy development, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles in families and communities. Its goal is to prevent childhood obesity, increase physical activity and healthy diet, and ensure the sustainability and transferability of successful practices to other member states.
