In an effort to gain insight into the cancer screening context within the Joint Action EUCanScreen, the various work packages have recognised the need to collect information from the consortium partners in a harmonised way across countries/regions.
This step is essential in guiding the next phase in implementing the planned scientific activities and ensuring the relevance of the activities and outcomes of the Joint Action within the current cancer screening ecosystem.
To that end, a survey coordination committee was formed with work package representatives. The committee has compiled and organised the planned questionnaires and surveys throughout the timeline of the project, grouping them according to a release schedule while ensuring coherence and complementarity.
The consortium has also established a collaboration with the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC/WHO), which is preparing for the 3rd European Cancer Screening Report (a project supported by the European Commission). Through this collaboration, information on the current landscape of cancer screening in Europe collected through EUCanScreen and IARC CanScreen-ECIS surveys will be shared and analysed jointly to achieve common goals.
The first phase of the surveys is launched between March and April 2025, covering a broad range of topics as detailed below:
We encourage all stakeholders and consortium partners to contribute to the surveys in their respective areas of expertise upon receiving invitations. Together, we can improve the relevance of the project activities and outcomes.
