HEALTH4EUKIDS will be present on the 25th IUHPE World Conference on Health Promotion in Abu Dhabi.
Here, the work of Belgium WP5: Grünau Moves will be presented by Jessie Van Kerckhove of Sciensano on Tuesday 13th of May, in the session “New settings for Health (Promotion) Innovation and Equity. Her presentation will focus on how participatory methods aid in developing context-specific local government actions to address childhood overweight and obesity.
Additionally, she will be present during the workshop: Research with, Not On: Co-creating knowledge with children and adolescents, on Wednesday 14th of May. There she will go into discussion on the different barriers and facilitators of co-creation with children and adolescents, especially those experiencing vulnerable situations.

The “HEALTH4EUkids” Joint Action aims to implement health promotion and prevention strategies for child obesity across European countries. It seeks to share best practices and research findings, particularly focusing on the initiatives Grunau Moves from Germany and Smart Family from Finland. The project involves knowledge transfer, cooperation between member states, policy development, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles in families and communities. Its goal is to prevent childhood obesity, increase physical activity and healthy diet, and ensure the sustainability and transferability of successful practices to other member states.
