Implementation of Smart Family Practice in Poland

From March 20 to June 6, 2024, a series of workshops entitled: “IMPLEMENTATION OF SMART FAMILY PRACTICE IN POLAND”, as part of the Health4EUkids project, which is implemented by the National Health Fund and the Medical University of Silesia.

The workshop gathered a wide range of nutritionists, nurses, school pedagogues and school psychologists, a total of 201 people.

During the workshop, participants explored the goals and idea of the Finnish Smart Family practice and gained knowledge about the motivation to change eating behaviors in families. For the first time in Poland, the Smart Family practice tools were presented, such as the Healthy Family Card, the Star of Our Family, the Family Agreement for the time spent in front of the screen and Color Your Own Sleep Tree.

Also, the first newsletter has been sent to trained professionals as implementation of WP6- Smart Family which is rather informative and gives link to Polish website of Health4Eukids materials. Newsletter will be sent periodically to over 200 participants of the trainings twice a month and will be devoted to Smart Family tools adapted to polish needs.

Health4EUKids -Your kid's health our priority!The “HEALTH4EUkids” Joint Action aims to implement health promotion and prevention strategies for child obesity across European countries. It seeks to share best practices and research findings, particularly focusing on the initiatives Grunau Moves from Germany and Smart Family from Finland. The project involves knowledge transfer, cooperation between member states, policy development, and the promotion of healthy lifestyles in families and communities. Its goal is to prevent childhood obesity, increase physical activity and healthy diet, and ensure the sustainability and transferability of successful practices to other member states.
